Plans are being finalised for the next thrash on the 64 squares in Southend.
Easter in 2024 is early, so the Festival takes place between Thursday 28 March and Monday 1st April. The format is what you have become used to, with the Rapid on Thursday 28 March – 6 Rounds at G25+5, R1 at 10.30 am finish by 6.00 pm – and, 66th Southend Easter Chess Congress 29 March-1 April over 7 Rounds G90+30 with two rounds a day Friday to Sunday and the final round on Bank Holiday Monday.
