If you know what you will be doing at Easter 2025 and that happens to be “playing in the Southend Easter Chess Festival 2025” now is a good time to enter as you can take advantage of the early entry discount, up until and including 5 January 2025. In the online entry form, when you select ‘pay by card via Stripe’ look out for the box to enter the coupon code se25early and the form will apply the 5% discount for you. Entering online but paying by BACS or cheque, make sure you select the option(s) showing se25early and the form will select the right figure to add to the total due.
If you are entering by post, you can apply the early entry discount as long as your entry is postmarked 5 January or earlier. The discounted figures are: Rapid £30.40, Congress £45.60.
Don’t forget there are also two other discounts:
- Junior U16 at 31 August 2024 code se25u16 and
- 60+ at 17 April 2025 code se2560+
which are available until entry closing dates. If you fall into two discount categories (i.e. entering early and qualify for one of the two age groups) you can only apply one code per entry fee. But if you are entering the Rapid and the Congress, the one discount code can be applied to each fee. (Note: the discounts do NOT apply to Donations, nor to the ECF ‘Pay to Play’ Fee if this should apply to you.)
